( to be fair the Duke Patrick Mod has an option to increase how many times you can be trained each level, but that doesn’t seem enough to me because I’m not made of money. And since that changes how fast combat is you also need a leveling mod to allow you to increase your combat skills. I like Duke Patrick’s melee and archery mods. Umm I guess I’d put a leveling mod here and/or a combat mod. there’s always some must have that I overlook and only remember later, usually Oscuros. It basically gets rid of the skill requirements for spells, but they can fail or backfire. Ummm number 4! Audacious Magery? I just hate not being able to cast whatever spells I damn well please, so AM let’s me cast all spells but potentially kill myself, or drastically damage my stats. also some people have trouble installing it so there is that too. hard to decide did I mention that graphical mods and unofficial patches are heavily implied? I’m not going to list Oblivion Character Overhaul as a must have even though it kind of is for me now. I never got very far in it but it seemed like a lot of just collecting things, could be wrong though. Ruined Tails Tale, I think that’s the Simyaz mod that’s probably aged the best, but if we’re really talking about the best companion mod that would have to be Vilja who is great, but I think the quests for her are probably less interesting. It’s an Overhaul Mod that changes the level scaling, enemy variety, and lots of other stuff or maybe Maskars, though I have yet to actually try Maskars but Oscuros was THEEE Mod back in the day, had articles written about it and everything. Number 2 would probably be Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul. I also feel it helps round out the experience because so much of vanilla Oblivion plays out like a generic fantasy game where you banish demons to hell, whereas Integration has you working with those same “demons” to make the world a better place. multiple solutions and makes a ton of references to lore and past elder scrolls games. It is a Quest Mod that adds 80+ quests and has faction rank checks, race checks, skill checks, etc.
Just choose the esp file that you want and you’re good to go. Personally, for me Race Balancing Project and Less Annoying Magic Experience are also in my top 5. The Integrated version has no requirements and lets you choose if you want the gameplay changes or not.
